15 IAS, 3 IPS named central observers for upcoming polls

IAS and IPS officers from Rajasthan have been included in the list of central observers including an IAS couple - Archana Singh and Rajan Vishal

As many as 15 IAS officers and 3 IPS officers from Rajasthan have been included in the list of central observers for the upcoming in Bihar and by-elections in some states. 

The has appointed 425 officers from across the country, including 287 IAS officers, 58 IPS officers and 80 officers of other services, as observers for these elections.

The providers included in the list are : Debasish Prusty, Manju Rajpal, Ambrish Kumar, Arushi A Mallik, Jogaram, Rohit Gupta, Shuchi Tyagi, Archana Singh, , Manisha Arora, ML Chauhan, ,Rashmi Sharma, and Bachnesh Kumar Agrawal. 

The IPS officers names in the list included Raghavendra Suhasa, Sharat Kaviraj and Ajay Pal Lamba. 

These observers have been instructed to read electoral laws, rules and guidelines. Apart from that, it has been asked to take information from the field and ensure fair compliance. These observers have been tasked with visiting polling booths and implementing the arrangements made by the Commission for the convenience of voters.
