RIICO sells 177 land units, earns Rs 267 crore

Rising Rajasthan Global Summit that was held in December 2024 has driven Rajasthan into high growth trajectory. The nodal agency for industrial development – RIICO – has drawn exceptional interest from hordes of investors from across the country in its latest land auction. 

RIICO, in the latest bid, has successfully completed auction of 177 land units clocking a revenue of Rs 267 crore. It had put 184 plots under hammer drawing 481 online applications. 

RIICO Managing Director Suresh Kumar Ola said that the state government is giving top priority to entrepreneurship and industrial development.

“The wants youths to  establish their own enterprises and become employment providers rather than job seekers. For that we are simplifying processes and policies to accelerate ease of doing in the state,” he said. 

He said that auction included bidding of industrial land along with land area for setting up shops, kiosks, hotels, way-bridges, schools, petrol pumps and commercial showrooms for the entrepreneurs who intend to work in districts like Ajmer, Alwar, Balotra, Banswara, Boranada, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Pali, Kota, Sawai Madhopur and Udaipur.

Ola said that apart form land allocation, RIICO is also offer plug and play mode in flatted factory against a license fee. This will enable  entrepreneurs to start their industrial units at a low cost and in a short time. 

“As many as 8 applications have been received for 6 modules in the flatted factory in Sitapura Industrial Area. RIICO will receive a revenue of around Rs 1.50 lakh ( additional) per month. These modules are for setting up medium and small industries,” Ola said.
