As a part of on the spot grievance redressal, Hemant Kumar Gera, Principal Secretary of the Public Health Engineering Department, interacted with public over Rajasthan Sampark Helpline (181) control room. He conducted a detailed review of departmental cases.
During the interaction, Gera directed departmental officials to ensure the prompt, timely, and high-quality resolution of complaints registered on the Sampark portal.
An e-public hearing was conducted with a total of 17 complainants. The department provided partial relief to eight of them and issued directives for the quick resolution of their issues.
Gera heard their grievances including issues regarding lack of drinking water supply (Pratap Singh, Barmer), faulty water bill (Rajendra, Bhilwara), contaminated water supply (Rupesh, Sawai Madhopur), the need for handpump repair (Vijay Singh, Dausa), and the receipt of two bills against separate account numbers (Kamlesh Kumawat, Sikar).
Gera that maintaining a balance between quality and speed in resolving complaints is essential. He also directed that pending cases be settled quickly and that effective monitoring of complaints be ensured.
