Bihar govt transfers IAS officers 

Bihar effected transfer of IAS officers on a large scale late on Thursday evening. In the notification issued by the General Administration Department, significant changes have been made in the posts of commissioners, divisional commissioners, departmental secretaries and directors of many districts. At the same time, officers have been appointed in the three new departments that have been created in Bihar. 

Saran Rajeev Roshan has been made Secretary, Higher Education Department, Bihar. New responsibilities have been assigned to IAS officers in three separate orders issued by the government. 

Nilesh Ramchandra Deore (IAS, 2011 batch): He has been transferred from the post of , Secretariat Department and made Special Secretary, Department of . He will also continue to have additional charge of Managing Director, Bihar Medical Services and Infrastructure Corporation Ltd.

2. Kaushal Kishore (IAS, 2010 batch): He has been transferred from Commissioner, Darbhanga Division and appointed as Secretary, Youth, Employment and Skill Development Department, Bihar.

3. Awanish Kumar Singh (IAS, 2010 batch) – Commissioner, Munger Division – has been removed and given the additional charge of Commissioner, Bhagalpur Division.

4. Himanshu Kumar Rai (IAS, 2010 batch): He has been transferred from Commissioner, Bhagalpur Division to the post of Commissioner, Darbhanga Division. He will also hold the additional charge of Commissioner, Tirhut Division, Muzaffarpur and Saran Division, Chapra.

5. Ajay Yadav (IAS, 2005 batch): He has been relinquished from all his additional charges including post of secretary in the Department of Prohibition, Products and Liquor.
