The plot of controversial scuffle between IIT Jodhpur Director Avinash Kumar Agrawal and his subordinate associate professor Deepak Arora gets thicker. A few unnamed powerful bureaucrats have entered the scene, which is getting murkier with IIT Director hurling new allegations.
The BuckStopper tried to contact Agrawal for confirming the names of officers. Agrawal preferred not to speak to us. We will update the story the moment Agrawal chooses to reveal more.
Agrawal has alleged bigger and deeper controversy in this unfortunate incident in which Deepak Arora allegedly attacked IIT Director in presence of staff.
Agrawal has suspected role of two IPS officers behind the alleged attack which has given disrepute to the institution that is trying to expand its horizons to Jaipur where the state government has signed MoU for establishment of campus in Coaching Hub.
Agrawal alleged that the controversy was hatched to either kill him (Agrawal) or remove from the Director post and probably derail the plans to open a campus in coaching hub at Jaipur.

Attack was pre planned
Agrawal alleged that the attacker (Arora) had brought a bag to the director's office. The security guard stopped him from carrying the bag. Later it was found that there was a weapon in the bag.
However, police destroyed the evidence to help Arora. The most shocking aspect in this case is the role of the police system. According to the director, police officials were in touch over phone with the attacker even before IIT Jodhpur informed the police. This is a clear indication that the attack was premeditated and some police officers were involved in it.
Agrawal alleged that involvement of powerful officers is also evident from the fact that police didn't lodge FIR for eight hours and then gave bail to Arora within 3 hours.
The entire episode was shared with the chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also. And probably, one of the reasons behind putting DCP (East) Amit Jain on APO was that attack.
