IPS Kishan Sahai Meena accused of rape three months ahead of retirement 

Three months ahead of his superannuation, senior IPS officer of Rajasthan has been accused of rape by a 53-year old woman. 

The woman had sent a complaint by post from another state to a police station in . The police on the basis of complaint has started investigation after registering an .

Meena, who is serving as Inspector General (Human Rights) has been alleged to have raped woman at his office residence on the pretext of marriage.

Meena, who is a 2004 batch IPS officer promoted from state police service, threatened the woman of dire consequences when she warned him of registering a complaint. After that the woman went out of the state and sent complaint through post. The woman also alleged that Meena threatened her over video calls regularly for three months. 

Meena termed the allegation as a conspiracy. He said that the police should check the chat record to know the facts. 

“It's a conspiracy against me. I have been propagating scientific views ideology in the society. This is just a conspiracy to stop me. When police will analyse chat record, the fact will come out,” Meena said. 

Meena had been in controversy earlier also

Kishan Sahai had been in controversy in the past over comments on religion and leaving in the middle.

He had said that there is no supreme power like God, Allah or Bhagwan. If we are garnering strength from them then its is a myth. Whatever is written in religious books, is just a fiction,” he had said. 

His statement and views created furore among people and they targeted him for saying wrong things about God. 

Meena suspended for dereliction in election duty 

Kishan Sahai was suspended for leaving election duty in between without informing the Election Commission. He was sent on election duty as Observer in Jharkhand state in October 2024. He left the duty in between after joining and came back to Jaipur without any information. The Election Commission directed Rajasthan Chief Secretary to suspend him.
