IPS VK Singh empanelled for ADG rank at centre

Vijay Kumar Singh, a 1997 IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre, has been empaneled to serve on additional director general posts at centre. Singh is currently serving as additional director general Anti Terror Squad (ATS) and Special Operation Group (SOG) in his home cadre Rajasthan. 

Singh had hit the headlines after arresting many trainee sub inspectors in relation with paper leaks in sub inspector examination conducted by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). The SOG under his leadership has performed well to nab several paper leak mafias. 

Singh had earlier been on central deputation when he had served with Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) from May 2010 to December 2014. He was then posted in his native state Bihar before a brief stint in Dhanbad (Jharkhand). 

Apart from Vijay Kumar Singh, 37 other IPS offices from 1995, 1996 and 1997 batches have been empanelled for ADG or equivalent posts at centre.
