Jitendra Kumar Soni, who is serving as Jaipur collector and district magistrate, has been given additional charge of Tonk collector and district magistrate till June 29, 2025.
Tonk collector Saumya Jha has gone on 21-day medical leave from June 9 to June 29, 2025.
Jitendra Kumar Soni, a 2010 batch officer has literary taste. He has written 10 novels, short stories and poetry collections. He was awarded the Sahitya Academy Yuva Puruskar in 2016 for his work Rankhaar.
A Rajasthani film has been made based on his story collection Bharkhama.
“His poetic heart is reflected in his working also. He is sensitive towards the pains of common people and provides immediate relief through interventions whatever needed,” said Rameshwar Sharma, a beneficiary.
