In a strong message to officials engaged in all-important census work, Jaipur Collector Sandesh Nayak suspended a senior teacher for laxity in census work.
The teacher Anju Verma had not taken up the charge as census officer despite being relieved from her school duties. Verma, a Level -2 English teacher, is serving in Government Higher Secondary School Dehra, Jobner. She did not take up the charge despite several reminders and remained wilfully absent from the assignment.
Taking cognisance of the negligence in the work of national importance, Jaipur Collector Sandesh Nayak ordered for her suspension with immediate effect
At the same time Nayak, asked all census personnel to ensure timely and serious discharge of the assigned duties so that the work of national interest such as census can be completed smoothly.
