Jhalawar administration braves mock drone attack amid stings of honey bees

Team of Ajay Singh Rathore and district SP Richa Tomar had to face real attack from swarm of honey bees when they were enacting mock drill of war.

The entire team was present at the Kalisindh dam to showcase preparedness of district administration for the war. They were enacting rescue operation while drone attack. Just then a swarm of bees attacked the team, which had to run away from  the spot. 

While the entire team looked  prepared for the drone attack, bees caught them on the wrong foot. 

No honey only sting for bureaucrats

This is not the first time bees have attacked officials on duty. 

Recently, a 2018 batch IAS officer Kamalakant Pandey, who is serving as chief officer (CDO) in Lalitpur (Uttar Pradesh) had an encounter with swarm of bees, who left Pandey unconscious biting him all over the body. He was later rescued and admitted in hospital. 

Two days ago, there was another incident of bee attack in Mirzapur (Uttar Pradesh), when a swarm of honey bees chased and stung 54 trainee forest officers, who were saved by the villagers who drove away the bees using and blankets. 

The bee attack left all 54 injured, with four being critical. The forest personnel were trainees who were visiting Mirzapur from Kanpur.
