Rajasthan chief secretary Sudhansh Pant is organising the customary Diwali Sneh Milan for IAS officers on October 21, 2025. Officers include servicing IAS officers – direct and promoted, retired IAS officers, IPS officers and IFS officers. Recently promoted IAS officers too have received the coveted invite. But there is No Diwali Gift for them. They will have to continue to serve on the post they were serving as state civil service officers.
Recently promoted officers – 16 from RAS and 4 from other services – have been expecting transfer from their earlier post since their elevation. But despite having officers handling multiple charges, officers who entered the cadre recently, did not get a call.
“There is no change in our profile even after elevation. We got the promotion, but it has brought hardly any change. We are keeping our fingers crossed. This Diwali didn't bring much joy for us,” said an officer who recently got promoted.
