In anticipation of , the Punjab government is gearing up to dedicate around 125 new Mohalla clinics to the public, with 112 clinics already fully operational. The clinics, equipped with medical staff including doctors, pharmacists, and lab assistants, are set to commence services promptly upon .

Prior to this initiative, 644 Mohalla clinics have been established in the state, providing valuable healthcare services to the public. Punjab's health model has garnered recognition not only within the country but also internationally.

The launch of these clinics is poised to bring considerable relief to the public, ensuring easier access to medical assistance and reducing the need for extensive travel for healthcare.

Furthermore, Chief Bhagwant Mann's visionary project, the Mohalla Clinic, has received positive responses in major cities. Consequently, the plans to open approximately 30 new clinics in six cities, including Bhatinda, Mansa, Patiala, Sangrur, Sri Muktsar Sahib, and Mohali, as a gift to the citizens. Orders have been issued to all deputy commissioners and civil surgeons in these districts to prepare the clinics before February 20, facilitating their timely commencement in the month of February.
