Ria Dabi ties the knot with Manish Kumar in Buddhist tradition

IAS Ria Dabi, who got married with IPS Manish Kumar in April last, celebrated their wedding in Buddhist traditions

, a 2021 batch IAS officer of cadre, had tied the knot with her batchmate Manish Kumar in April last year in a court marriage, as per media reports. However, photographs of her marriage ceremony is hitting the with a speculation that the couple celebrated their court marriage in a grand fashion later. According to reports, the ‘power couple' – IAS Ria Dabi and IPS Manish Kumar solemnised their marriage as per Buddhist tradition. They exchanged garlands in Buddhist tradition in presence of family and close friends, according to reports.

Dabi is the younger sister of Tina Dabi – the topper of 2016 batch and also an IAS of Rajasthan cadre. Tina Dabi, in April 2022, had also got married to IAS Pradeep Gawande as per Buddhist traditions. Visuals showed a portrait of Dalit icon BR Ambedkar in the background as rituals were observed. Dabi happens to be the first Dalit to top the civil services exam. Gawande is a 2013 batch IAS officer. Both sisters have Maharashtra in common. While Tina Dabi's husband belongs to Maharashtra, Ria Dabi's husband Manish Kumar was initially given Maharashtra cadre. Now his cadre has been transferred to Rajasthan post marriage with Ria Dabi.

Tina Dabi got married with Gawande after taking divorce from her first husband Athar Khan in August 2021. Khan is also a Rajasthan cadre officer currently posted in Kashmir on .

Manish Kumar is the 2021 batch IPS officer of Maharshtra cadre. He has recently joined Rajasthan cadre on inter cadre transfer on the basis of marriage with Ria Dabi. While Manish Kumar is serving as assistant superintendent of police, Malvi Circle, Udaipur, Ria Dabi is serving as sub divisional officer and sub divisional magistrate in Girwa, Udaipur.
