Shikhar Agarwal, chairman of Rajasthan Industrial and Investment Development Corporation (RIICO) said that continuous innovation should be the key to industrial development in RIICO industrial areas.
“There should be not be any compromise with the quality of infrastructure in industrial areas, Agarwal said while interacting the field officer in a two-day residential capacity building workshop.
He said that entrepreneurs should get quick benefits of policies, cooperative behaviour of officials and strong infrastructure.
“Proper disposal of waste and effluent management in RIICO industrial areas, effective monitoring of CETP, smooth arrangement of electricity and water supply are important aspects for industrial development,” he said.
Shivangi Swarankar, managing director of RIICO said that the main purpose of such workshops is knowledge sharing.
“Discussions on innovations, challenges and solutions made by officials in their field provide an opportunity for all to learn,” she said.
She said that the work style and behaviour of officials reflect the image of RIICO.
“Authorities should focus on expeditiously solving problems of entrepreneurs,” she said.
Swarankar also said that the corporation is working towards bringing uniformity and clarity in strategic branding of all industrial areas.
“It has been decided that industrial areas with an area of up to 50 hectares will be called Industrial Growth Park (IGP) while areas more than 50 hectares will be known as RIICO Economic and Investment Zone (REIZ),” she said.
