What is Rajasthan Mandapam?
On the lines of India Mandapam in New Delhi, Rajasthan government is developing Rajasthan Mandapam in Jaipur. It is being developed as a state-of-the-art venue to showcase Rajasthan's rich heritage, architecture, handicrafts, folk music, dance, and traditional cuisine.
The Mandapam will serve as a multipurpose convention center, hosting national and international exhibitions, conferences, trade fairs, and cultural events, providing visibility and a platform for local artisans and industries.
According to sources, the Mandapam, spead across 35 to 95 acres, will be constructed at an initial cost of around ₹100 crore.
Later a large-scale project with an overall budget reaching ₹3700 crore including associated facilities like a Global Capability Center, IT towers, 5-star and 4-star hotels, residential and commercial towers will also be developed around the Mandapam. The project is planned to be completed in around 30 months from its launch.
The convention center within Rajasthan Mandapam will have a capacity of 7000 to 7500 people.
The complex will include exhibition halls, conference rooms, trade fair venues, and a Unity Mall promoting regional products.
