It's rare that siblings become IAS and serve the country together. And it's rarest when they were the same cadre as IAS officers.
In Rajasthan cadre Tina Dabi (2016 batch) and Ria Dabi (2021 batch) are the sisters who are serving as IAS officers. Tina Dabi is currently serving as Barmer collector while Ria Dabi is working as CEO, Zila Parishad, Udaipur.
Now one more example of siblings success – Utkarsh Yadav and Devendra Kumar – the brother duo who are set to serve Rajasthan cadre after the younger brother Utkarsh got Rajasthan cadre post training.
Devendra Kumar, a 2017 batch IAS officer, is currently serving as collector Dausa while Utkarsh Yadav who secured 32 rank in UPSC 2024, is set to join his brother's cadre.
There have been instances sibling IAS officers working in Rajasthan cadre together but they are promoted from state services. Among the famous siblings- Jagdish Chandra, Pawan Arora and Sushma Arora – come at the top. All three have retired and were promoted from state services.
Among the officers who are currently working are Hem Pushpa Sharma and Amita Sharma. Both have been promoted from other services. While Hem Pushpa Sharma ( 2015 batch) is serving as director state assurance and pension fund, her sister Amita Sharma, who has recently been promoted, also from state service is working as joint secretary finance. Their brother Govind Sharma was also a direct recruit in IAS. He was 1984 batch IAS officer and retired as Chief Electoral Officer. After retirement he served as Advisor to Ashok Gehlot during his third term as chief minister.
There are few more examples where siblings have worked together first in state service and then promoted to work as IAS and IPS officers together in Rajasthan cadre.
