Was any IPS officer slapped in chief minister residence (CMR) or chief minister office (CMO), questioned former Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot seeking clarification from the government.
Gehlot said that there has been rumours in the corridors that an IPS officer was slapped or beaten up in presence of chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma at his residence or at his office.
“I have never heard of any such incident that an IPS officer is being beaten up, slapped or pushed and shoved in presence of chief minister. The government should clear the air around it and give clarification to the public,” he said.
Gehlot said that such incidents deflate the morale of the government.
“It is unfortunate that such incident is happening in front of the person who holds the highest authority in the state. It is hard for me to believe. Government must clear the confusion on this,” he said.
