Rajasthan government will have to come up with transfer and posting list of IAS and IPS officers soon. Four crucial administrative posts – additional chief secretary energy, commercial tax commissioner, IG stamps and commissioner DIPR – are also being handled as additional charge.
Similarly, posts of SPs in two districts are also being handled by Addl. SPs after Jhunjhunu SP Sharad Chowdhary and Hanumangarh SP Arshad Ali were sent on APO following repeated complaints against them.
According to sources, as many as 50 IAS officers are handling additional charges. Even chief secretary Sudhansh Pant has to take care of additional charges of chief resident commissioner New Delhi, administrator Rajfed and chairman RSMML. Similarly almost all senior officers are made to handle additional charges- sometimes with justification and sometimes without it.
Four posts are crucial
Four crucial ‘mainstream' posts are being taken care of as additional charge. The post is additional chief secretary energy is being handled by Arti Dogra, who is chairman discoms and chairman and managing director Jaipur discom. She had been handling this post for quit some time after all the additional chief secretary Alok went on a long sick leave.
Another posts of importance commissioner commercial tax is being taken care of by Kumar Pal Gautam, who is handling important portfolio of finance secretary (revenue). Recently, the state government has created a record of sorts by collecting highest ever GST of Rs 4,600 crore in one month. The post fell vacant after Prakash Rajpurohit went on central deputation to serve as director in the department of economic affairs.
The post of IG stamps and registration, also under finance department has been fallen vacant since Ashish Gupta went on central deputation to serve as joint director in National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts exams like JEE, NEET, UGC NET, CMAT, CUET and GPAT among other all India entrance examination for higher education.
The post of commissioner DIPR is equally important, it being the mouthpiece of government. Since retirement of Sunil Sharma, the post is being handled by additional director DIPR Arvind Saraswat as additional charge.
Apart from that, four IAS officers and equal number of IPS officers are APO.
Senior IAS officer Tina Soni, who has been repatriated after successful innings in centre as joint secretary fertiliser, has been awaiting posting order May 6. With her experience and track record, she can handle important portfolio.
Nidhi Patel, a 2018 batch officer from Himachal Pradesh cadre, who is on a three-year interstate deputation to Rajasthan is also awaiting posting order. She was serving as additional deputy commissioner-cum-project director (DRDA) in Himachal's Bilaspur district.
Another case of interstate deputation Ashish Kumar Mishra, a 2021 batch officer from Uttarakhand cadre, who is on deputation to Rajasthan on basis of his marriage with batchmate Anshu Priya, is also awaiting posting order. His wife Anshu Priya serving as sub divisional magistrate and sub divisional officer at Mount Abu.
Hanuman Mal Dhaka, a 2014 batch IAS, promoted from state civil service, is also on APO since he had fallen in ACB net in April last year, allegedly demanding Rs 25 lakh for land conversion.
