Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara once again targeted bureaucracy in Rajasthan. He alleged that BJP leaders along with people in bureaucracy are completely indulged in looting the state.
“Bureaucracy is dominating this government. We have never seen such a dormant, shameless and unworthy government. Corruption is at the peak. People in bureaucracy and BJP leaders are looting the state with both the hands,” Dotasara alleged.
Interestingly, Dotasara has many close relatives, who are part of this bureaucracy. His son Avinash Dotasara is in Rajasthan Accounts Service while his daughter-in-law Pratibha Dotasara, 2019 batch RAS is serving as additional CEO of Amber Development Management Authority. There are two other relatives from his daughter-in-law side who are in state administrative service.
Dotasara has done it before
Few days ago, he was even nastier alleging 5-10 IAS officers in chief minister office (CMO) of fixing things for leaders of ruling party.
“The are 5-10 IAS officers in CMO who play middlemen and spend entire day fixing deals for BJP leaders,” he had publicly alleged.
Neither IAS Association or the BJP party condemned his allegations.
“If IAS officers don't react, Dotasara will continue to defame them without any proof. How can a political leader tarnish character of image of IAS officers without any proof? Dotasara should come up with evidence or apologise publicly for his loose comment,” said RC Jain, a former IAS officer.
He said that IAS officers, who are known for high integrity and calibre should not tolerate such an unparliamentary languages from politicians.
“I wonder why IAS Association didn't react. This may result into more such uncalled attacks on image of IAS officers. Politicians should not try to give political colour to this noble service, which is meant for public welfare,” he said.
Role Dotasara was also questioned
Dotasara, who is hurling allegations on IAS officers and entire bureaucracy, was questioned for his role in selection of three of his relatives including his daughter-in-law in RAS examination.
Dotasara was then education minister in Gehlot government. The then leader of opposition Gulab Chand Kataria had raised the issue of dubious role of Dotasara in selection of his relatives in RAS.
“In written examination all three relatives of Dotasara secured less than 50% marks. But in interview all three scores 80 marks each, which is not less than miracle,” Kataria had alleged. Since then there had been doubt on fair play in the selection of his relatives. Though nothing had been proved yet.
