A day after Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma reviewed law and order situation with field officers, the state government transferred 18 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers including two range IGs, one Commissioner and five district SPs.
Ramesh, who is serving as SP Balotra has been transferred. There has been speculation of his transfer since fire tragedy in Pachpadra refinery which had delayed its inauguration by Prime Minister. He has been now posted as SP Crime Branch, Police Headquarters (Human Rights & Weaker Section).
Apart from Ramesh, B Aditya, who is serving as SP Pratapgarh has been transferred to Hanumangarh replacing Narendra Singh Meena, who has been posted as Commandant 10th Battalion RAC Bikaner. Vishal Jangid will replace Aditya in Hanumangarh. Jangid is currently serving as Commandant 10th Battalion RAC Bikaner.
Anil Paliwal, who is serving as Director General Police Training & Traffic, has been posted as DG & Commandant General Home Guard. He has swapped his place with Malini Agarwal.
Sharat Kaviraj, who is serving as Commissioner of Police Jodhpur, has been transferred to IG, Crime Branch, Headquarters. He had got field posting after quite some time. But he has been transferred after 5 months. Anshuman Bhomia, who is serving as IG SSB, has replaced Kaviraj. This will be his first posting in Jodhpur.
Rajendra Singh, who is serving as IG Ajmer Range, has been transferred to IG, Vigilance in Headquarters. He served on this post for one year. Recently, former dacoit Jagan Gurjar was killed by fellow inmate in Ajmer jail. Dr Ravi, who is serving as IG, Planning, Modernisation and Welfare has replaced Singh.
Kailash Chandra Bishnoi, who is serving as IG Bharatpur Range – the home district of CM – has been transferred as IG Planning, Modernisation and Welfare. Recent day light murders in Bharatpur are said to have triggered the transfer of Bishnoi, who had performed well working as Additional Commissioner Jaipur. Priti Chandra will replace him. Chandra is currently serving as IG Law and Order – the position which will remain vacant as of now after her transfer.
