3 IAS including OSD to CM retire

Three IAS officers – Om Prakash Bunkar, Rajendra Singh Shekhawat and Prakash Chandra Sharma – have been superannuated today. All these officers – from batch 2010 – were promoted from state administrative service.

Prakash Chandra Sharma, who was serving as officer on special duty to Bhajan Lal Sharma, had joined the chief minister's office last year. He was  given lighter towards end of his career. 

Considered to be an efficient officer, Sharma also served as executive director RUIDP, collector of two districts – Banswara and Pratapgarh besides being director of archaeology among other responsibilities. 

His exit has created a vacancy of OSD in CMO which is being eyed by many senior RAS and IAS officers promoted from atte administrative service. 

Om Prakash Bunkar served as in home department as his last posting. He had earlier served as collector Kota, managing director Rajasthan State Warehousing Corporation and women empowerment department among other postings. 

Mahendra Kumar Khinchi, joint secretary in home (appeal) department has been given additional charge of special secretary home in Bunakar's place. 

Rajendra Singh Shekhawat served as Kota divisional commissioner as his last posting. He had earlier served as collector in Karauli and Shahpura districts. He has also served as commissioner Jaipur Heritage, secretary Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC) and commissioner departmental enquiries among other postings.  

, collector and district magistrate Kota has been given additional charge of divisional commissioner Kota in Shekhawat's place. 

One IPS officer retired

Shyam Singh, a 2012 batch IPS officer promoted from state police service, has retired today. He was serving as superintendent of police in CID (CB).
