Tina Soni, a 2007 batch IAS officer, who was on central deputation, has been repatriated to Rajasthan after more than 7 years. She is likely to get a key position soon.
Her husband Satyendra Kumar, a 2007 batch IPS, who is currently serving as director Niti Aayog, has been empaneled as Inspector General (IG) to serve at the centre.
Soni, before coming back to Rajasthan, was serving as joint secretary in the department of fertiliser where she was reporting to fertiliser secretary Rajat Kumar Mishra, who is also from Rajasthan cadre.
Earlier, in her service, Soni has served as BIP commissioner, additional commissioner commercial tax and collector of Bhilwara, Tonk and Pratapgarh among other postings.
On central deputation, she has also served as deputy secretary in cabinet secretariat.
IPS Satyendra Kumar empanelled as IG at centre
IPS Satyendra Kumar, who is serving in Niti Aayog as director till September 2025, has been empaneled as Inspector General at centre. Apart from him, two of his batchmates – Kailash Chand Bishnoi and Barhat Rahul Manhardan – have also been empanelled as IG to serve at centre.
Kailash Chandra Bishnoi is currently serving as DIG in Jaipur Development Authority while Barhat is serving as protector of emigrants (PoE) in Mumbai under the ministry of external affairs. The PoE office in Mumbai is responsible for granting emigration clearance to intending emigrants from Mumbai, Gujarat, Gujarat, Goa, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Madhya Pradesh.
