IAS Siddharth Mahajan appointed as JDC, Anandhi goes to cooperative

On the Christmas Eve, Rajasthan government transfers five IAS officers giving posting to Siddharth Mahajan who has just returned from central deputation

In a short but significant bureaucratic reshuffle, Rajasthan government transferred five IAS officers – changing faces on important departments like Jaipur Development Authority, Cooperative department and Public Relation department.

Siddharth Mahajan (2003), who has been called in the mid of his deputation to centre, has been expectedly given important position as commissioner Jaipur Development Authority. Mahajan was earlier serving in central government as joint secretary in ministry of commerce taking care of administration. He is considered as an upright officer with immense credibility. He had earlier served in Rajasthan government as secretary in finance, medical health and food and civil supplies department, panchayatiraj and local self government before serving as Jaipur collector.

Mahajan has replaced Anandhi (2007), who has been transferred as secretary and registrar cooperative department. Anandhi has been credited with launching large number of housing schemes and expanding the periphery of Jaipur Development Authority. She will be remembered for reinforcing online services in the authority and reducing the pendency.

Manju Rajpal (2000), who is serving as principal secretary agriculture, horticulture and chairman state seed corporation has been divested of her additional portfolio of principal secretary and registrar cooperative. 

Babu Lal Goyal (2014), who was under to commissioner devasthan department Udaipur has been retained in Jaipur as secretary state human rights . Goyal had earlier served as secretry Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission (RERC) – the post where college commissioner Om Prakash Bairwa was transferred. However transfer of Bairwa has also been cancelled and he will continue to serve in college education department. 

Rakesh Sharma (2016), who was additional commissioner in , has been transferred as commissioner and joint secretary department of information and public relation – the post special secretary to chief minister Sandesh Nayak was handling as an additional charge. With this, gets a full time commissioner. Sharma, promoted from RAS, has held important posts earlier. He had served as additional director in tourism, additional commissioner in excise, regional transport officer in Jaipur and commissioner in Jaipur Nagar Nigam among others.
