Massive fire broke out at a JCB workshop in Jaipur when 80 people were working in the premises. They were evacuated safely preventing any loss of life. Though machines and goods worth crores of rupees were reduced to ashes as the fire spread fast due to 5000 litres of chemicals present in the premises.
Jaipur District collector Jitendra Soni swung into action and monitors the rescue the operation. He said that the fire could be due to oil and grease used in the workshop. The reason, however we will be determined after investigation,” he said.
The accident could have taken uglier turn had the fire not doused in time with more than 15 fire brigades vehicles put in action. They ensure that fire doesn't reach the nearby petrol pump and shopping mall.
When the fire started, people ran out and saved their lives. The fire was so intense that plumes of smoke could be seen from 3 kilometres away.
