SJVN Green Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Navratna company Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited (SJVN) has commissioned 1000 MW solar power plant in Bikaner. The plant is fully operational.
The project worth Rs. 5,492 crores will supply power to Rajasthan and other states.
“As per the agreement, the plant will provide 500 MW of power to Rajasthan, and the remaining 500 MW would be evacuated out of state to Jammu & Kashmir (300 MW) and Uttarakhand (200 MW),” said a senior official.
The project was executed under the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) scheme and domestic content requirement (DCR) mode, boosting local manufacturing.
