RREC heralds new era of renewable energy with launch of new logo

Rajasthan Energy Minister Heeralal Nagar launched new logo of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation (RREC), symbolising new era of green energy generation in the . The launch of new logo marks the leadership of Rajasthan in the field of renewable energy.

The launch of new logo announced the paradigm shift in the energy ecosystem of the state which now looks to rely more on green energy than the traditional fossil fuel power.

Nagar congratulated RREC for this landmark. He said that this symbol showcases the achievements of Rajasthan in the field of clean, green and energy. At the same time, it shows a strong resolve to keep Rajasthan a leader in the field of renewable energy.

In the last two and a half years, the installed renewable energy of the state has increased by more than 24 GW taking the tally to 48GW.

Dr. , Chairman and Managing Director of RREC said that with the changing times, the portfolio of green energy has expanded with inclusion of new sources such as decentralised solar energy, , pump storage, green hydrogen and compressed bio gas.

“The new additions to the new energy sources and fast transition from traditional source to alternate green sources led to the launch of this new logo,” Gupta reasoned.

In 2002 when RREC was incorporated, little did Rajasthan government had an inkling that the entity would become the largest nodal agency for renewable energy in the country. The new logo is the testimony of RREC's 24 years long journey from few kilowatt hour to 42 GW.

Energy minister Heera Lal Nagar said that the state has progressed meteorically in last two and half years. It has added 24 GW in the existing installed capacity, which is more than 50% from 15.78 GW capacity added during the entire five year of the previous Congress government.

“We have registered solar projects worth more than 36 GW capacity and 5 GW of wind and hybrid projects, which is a remarkable achievement,” he said.

RREC posts PBT of Rs 390 crore

Nagar said that the corporation has posted profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 350 crore in 2025-26, which is almost 3.5 times more than the profit of Rs 98.33 crore achieved in 2024-25.

“Apart from that the state added renewable energy capacity of 12,890 MW in 2025-26 while attracting investment of Rs 60,000 crore in green energy,” he said.

The state so far has developed 48,235 MW of renewable energy capacity while another 40,000 MW capacity is under development. Apart from that, more than 1500 government buildings have been solarised through roof top installations.

The energy Minister informed that RREC is also developing country's largest solar park with 2450 MW capacity along with battery energy storage capacity of 6400 MW hour at Pugal in Bikaner district.
