Rajasthan leads in Cooperatives, Sharma only CM to share stage with Amit Shah on anniversary

The importance of Rajasthan in the field of cooperatives can be gauged by the fact that (CM) Bhajan Lal Sharma was the only CM who was present along with Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah on the occasion of fifth foundation day of the Ministry in New Delhi. 

Bhajan Lal Sharma along with Chief Secretary V Srinivas and Cooperatives Secretary Samit Sharma participated in the function. 

Speaking on the occasion, Bhajan Lal Sharma said that cooperative movement has reached every village in Rajasthan. There are more than 42 thousand cooperative societies in the , with more than one crore 35 members. 

At the same time, 8 lakh 90 thousand new members have been added to cooperatives under the cooperative membership campaign,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that the dairy cooperative model of the state has become the basis of economic strength for lakhs of livestock families. With the efforts of the double engine government, the dairy associations running at a loss in the state have come into profit. At the same time, a record turnover of Rs 10,000 crores has also been achieved. The total profit and turnover of RCDF and District Milk Unions is the highest in the last 47 years of history.

More than 5,646 e-pacs, more than 10 crore online transactions

Bhajan Lal said that the state has also given a new impetus to the PACS computerisation campaign by connecting cooperatives with modern . In the first phase, 5,646 PACS have been made e-pacs. More than 10 crore online transactions have taken place through them, which is almost one-third of the total transactions of the entire country and the highest in the country. 

About 4,875 PACS of the state are conducting three or more business activities. Through these, important services like Common Service Centre, Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samriddhi Kendra, Kisan Producers Organisation and Jan Aushadhi Kendra are reaching rural areas.

Cooperative departments to launch Sahkar Van

The Cooperative department is creating 64-acre lush Sahkar Van at Sumel village n Jaipur. The Van will have trees like Khejri, Rojari and Neem. The plantation will be done through Miyawaki technology, which features high-density planting (3-4 saplings per square meter) which accelerates growth up to 10× faster than conventional methods.
