Ashutosh AT Pednekar, a 2002 batch IAS officer, who is serving as secretary tribal area development, has been appointed as joint secretary in the ministry of labour and employment for a tenure of five years. He had been empanelled as joint secretary at centre long back. He will replace Rupesh Kumar Thakur, who is a 2006 batch IAS officer of Uttarakhand cadre.
Bhanu Prakash Yeturu, a 2003 batch IAS officer, who is serving as secretary higher and technical education, has been appointed as deputy election commissioner (DEC) in the Election Commission of India for a tenure of five years. He will replace Hirdesh Kumar, who is 1999 batch IAS of AGMUT cadre.
Another IAS officer of 2011 batch – Bhagwati Prasad Kalal, who is serving as managing director, Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Nigam Limited, has been appointed as director in the department of school education and literacy.

As many as 17 IAS officers are already on central deputation. With these three joining them, the number will go to 20.
Apart from that, 9 IAS officers from 2023 batch are also serving at centre in different ministries as assistant secretary.
