DoIT Commissioner Himanshu Gupta reviews preparation of NCEG

Rajasthan is all set to host the 29th National e-Governance Conference () to be held on 1st and 2nd July at the Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) in Jaipur. This is for the first time Rajasthan is hosting the conference jointly with Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) and Ministry of Electronics and (Meity). 

Himanshu Gupta, Special Secretary and Commissioner, Department of Information Technology and Communication conducted a comprehensive review at the ensure arrangements in a time-bound manner for successful completion of the conference.

The two-day e-Governance National Conference has NASSCOM and Malviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur as the knowledge partners of this grand event.

The conference will provide an important platform towards inclusive, transparent and citizen-centred governance through AI, deep tech, quantum computing, voice first solutions and secure digital infrastructure.

The conference will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma while Information Technology and  Communications Minister Col Rajyavardhan Rathore will also address the inaugural session. Union Minister of for Public Grievances and Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh will distribute national e-governance awards on the closing day on July 2.

Viksit Bharat 2047: AI Enabled, Data Driven and Secure Digital Governance

The theme of this year's two-day conference is “Viksit Bharat 2047: AI Enabled, Data Driven and Secure Digital Governance”. The objective of the conference is to strengthen mutual cooperation between Central and State Governments, industry and academic institutions in the field of e-governance, exchange best practises and discuss the latest dimensions of digital governance to realise the vision of a developed India 2047.

Technical sessions to be organised during the conference

In the conference, 6 plenary sessions and 6 breakout sessions will be organised for in-depth brainstorming on various administrative and technical aspects of digital governance.

In the conference, plenary sessions will be held on the topics of AI Based Governance for All; Bridging Digital Divide – Voice First Solutions in Important Public Services; Driving Urban- Transformation Through Technology; AI for Smart Policing and Public Safety; Citizen Centred Governance: Inclusive Governance and Digital Interventions to Enhance Access and Quality of School

Apart from that 6 breakout sessions will also be held on themes which are –  ‘Deep Tech and Quantum Driven Digital Transformation; AI and Digital Infrastructure for Secure Public Services; Grassroots Governance: Digital Decentralised, Data-Driven; Excellence in e-Governance Initiatives by Gold Awardees of NCEG 2026 – One; Excellence in e-Governance Initiatives by Gold Awardees of NCEG 2026 – Two' and Emerging , Accelerating Innovation, Transforming Governance. 

All these important sessions will be attended by senior administrative officials of Central and State Governments, policy makers, subject matter experts and professors from reputed academic institutions, industry experts and representatives of various projects winning the National e-Governance Award from across the country and share their thoughts and experiences.
