Haryana government has appointed Sudhir Rajpal, a 1990 batch IAS officer, as the additional chief secretary of home department. He replaced Sumita Misra who has taken up portfolio of her batchmate Sudhir Rajpal besides being appointed as the additional chief secretary of Financial Commissioner Revenue and Disaster Management.
Sudhir Rajpal, who was additional chief secretary of health, health education and AYUSH departments, has now been made additional chief secretary of home, jail, CID and judicial departments. Along with this, he has also been given the additional charge of Environment, Forest and Wildlife Department.
Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed as Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department. Earlier, this responsibility was held by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, who was recently on leave after heart surgery and has now returned to duty. The government has now made a permanent appointment for the post of Additional Chief Secretary in the Finance Department.
Already two senior IAS officers in the finance department, Mohammed Shahin and Ashima Brar, are working as commissioners and secretaries.
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has retained the finance ministry and is preparing to present the second annual budget of his government's tenure. The round of pre-budget meetings is going on and this time the draft budget will be prepared under the leadership of Arun Kumar Gupta.
Saket Kumar, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been given the additional charge of Commissioner and Secretary of the Urban Local Bodies Department. Earlier, this responsibility was with Arun Kumar Gupta. Saket Kumar has also been given the additional responsibility of Member Secretary of Kurukshetra Development Board.
Ramkumar Singh, Special Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, has been appointed as Additional CEO, Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority in place of Vinay Kumar.
Besides, Vinay Kumar, joint secretary of Haryana Public Service Commission, has been made commissioner of Panchkula Municipal Corporation. He will also handle the additional charge of District Municipal Commissioner of Panchkula and OSD in Haryana Staff Selection Commission.
