The day on which former member of Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Ramuram Raika got bail from Rajasthan High Court, another RPSC member and wife of poet Kumar Vishwas Manju Sharma has resigned after the High Court's strong remarks in the SI recruitment-2021 paper leak case.

The High Court has raised question mark on the integrity of all RPSC members including the then chairman Sanjay Shrotriya in the SI paper leak case.
The High Court had clearly written in the order while questioning the SI recruitment that former member of RPSC Ramuram Raika had met President Sanjay Shrotriya, acting president Jaswant Rathi, three members – Sangeeta Arya, Manju Sharma, Babulal Katara – to get his daughter Shobha and son Devesh to pass in the interview.
In her resignation letter sent to Governor Haribhau Bagde, Manju Sharma wrote, “I have spent my entire official and personal life working with great transparency and honesty. My personal reputation and the dignity of the Commission have been affected due to a dispute that has arisen in a recruitment process in recent days. While there is no investigation pending against me in any police station or investigation agency. Nor have I ever been found guilty in any case. Even then I am voluntarily resigning as a member of the RPSC, considering the dignity, fairness and transparency of the Commission as paramount, always in favour of sanctity in public life.”
Manju Sharma, who joined RPSC during Ashok Gehlot government. in October 2020, had tenure till October 14, 2026.
Who is Manju Sharma?
Dr. Manju Sharma is wife of famous poet Kumar Vishwas, who was once member of Aam Aadmi Party. She was assistant professor in Bharatpur Government College before joining as RPSC member.
Manju Sharma was interrogated by Anti Corruption Bureau earlier also in a case related to section of Executive Officer.
The case dates back to July 2023 when a former Congress leader Gopal Keshawat demanded bribe for final selection in EO examination. Keshawat was caught red handed taking money from the complainant who said that Keshawat had taken money in the name of Manju Sharma and assured selection in EO examination.
The Sikar ACB had received a complaint for two candidates regarding Gopal Keshawat demanding bribe against their final selection in EO examination 8 months back in July last year.
The bribe was demanded through an agent Anil Kumar who sought Rs 40 lakh each for selection. As per the deal, Rs 25 lakh was to be given in advance and remaining Rs 15 after selection. Later the deal was said to be closed at Rs 25 lakh.
The ACB had testified the case and then laid trap to catch agents Anil Kumar and Brahm Prakash taking bribe of Rs 18.50 lakh. The victim through another agent Ravindra Sharma send Rs 7.50 lakh to Gopal Keshawat at his residence in Pratap Nagar. The ACB caught them red handed and during probe, names of RPSC members Sangeeta Arya and Manju Sharma were mentioned.
