Suspended Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officer Chotu Lal Sharma has pleaded that he is being victimised and harassed. He alleged that he has fallen victim to dirty politics and is being targeted.
Claiming to be a bright and kind hearted RAS officer, Sharma, who has been suspended for intimidating and slapping pump attendant, said that he was targeted earlier also in his service when he was put on APO for being honest and upright.
Sharma alleged that he was put on APO when he was serving as Mandal SDM for not budging under pressure to facilitate wrong doing related to mines being operated by corporate Jindal Saw, which owns 30 years mining lease for iron ore in Bhilwara.
“There was immense pressure from top for amending the use of land where Jindal had already completed mining. They wanted me to shift the mining to other 50 bighas of land. I refused to budge under pressures and was wrongfully put on APO,” he said.
Sharma was under APO for two months from July 23 2025 to September 15, 2025 before serving as SDM Mandal for almost nine months from October 2024 to July 2025.
Sharma pleads that suspension is unjustified
Sharma said that his suspension is also unjustified. The pump attendants tried to hit him with iron rod and people are not watching the entire 30 minutes clip but 15 minutes where he is found attacking attendants.
“I have a two months old son. For me starting with him it's important than going for job far away. My children are staying in Bhilwara and I have to work far away in Pratapgarh. This is injustice. I appeal to Prime Minister and Chief Minister to do justice,” he said.
Sharma claims that he is responsible for bringing up two children from his first wife and two children of his deceased elder brother besides his two-month old son from his second wife.
