Jumbo transfer: 396 RAS, 6 IFS transferred

In a jumbo transfer, Rajasthan government transferred 396 RAS officers and six IFS officers ahead of code of conduct for Lok Sabha elections

Rajasthan government goes for a jumbo transfer of officers ahead of Lok Sabha elections. In a major reshuffle, 396 Rajasthan Administrative Officers, six Indian Service (IFS) officers and one have been transferred. The jumbo transfer of 396 RAS officers constitutes 46% of the total working force of 860 RAS officers.

Rishav Mandal, 2019 batch IAS, who was serving as additional commissioner commercial taxes, has been transferred to chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma's home district Bharatpur to serve as secretary, Urban Improvement Trust (UIT). He replaced Kamal Ram Meena, who has been transferred as joint secretary, public works department.

Among RAS officers, Lalit Kumar becomes the third officer to be posted as Special Assistant to deputy chief minister Diya Kumari in span of little more than three months. First it was Gopal Singh, who was posted as SA soon after appointment of Diya Kumari. He was replaced by Jagveer Singh earlier this month. Now Jagveer Singh has also been replaced by Lalit Kumar. While Jagveer Singh has been transferred as executive director Rajasthan State Beverage Corporation, Lalit Kumar has vacated the post of managing director seed corporation. Lalit Kumar is among few officers who have always served at important positions irrespective of ruling party. Kumar was in CMO of Vasundhara Raje and later in the office of Ashok Gehlot also before being transferred to seed corporation for a brief period. Diya Kumari would definitely to benefitted from Kumar's exposure and experience.

Similarly, Ramratan Sonkaria, who was recently appointed as officer on special duty (OSD) to chief minister has been removed and posted as CEO, zila parishad, Bhilwara.

Four officers on APO get posting

The government has also given posting to four officers who were APO – three from former chief minister Ashok Gehlot's office and one who was sent on APO after chief secretary's visit to JDA.
Among officers who were part of Gehlot office, Shaheen Ali has been posted as HCM RIPA while Ajay Aswal has been posted as additional commissioner college education. Gaurav Bajad, who is also of RAS Association, has been placed as registrar of Haridev Joshi university of journalism and mass communication. interestingly, he served as deputy secretary in former chief minsiter Ashok Gehlot's office. And now he has been posted in university launched by Gehlot in his second term and also revived by him after Vasundhara Raje had downed the shutter on university.

Anandi Lal Vaishnav, who was put on APO after chief secretary's surprise check at JDA, has been posted as Rajasthan state vidyut prasaran nigam limited. However, Praveen Kumar, who was also put on APO, along with Vaishnav still awaits his posting.

Among other transfers, Himmat Singh Barhat who was serving as secretary UIT, Chittorgarh, has been posted as registrar Mahatma Gandhi Divyang University while Avdesh Singh, who was serving as joint secretary , has been made registrar of Rajasthan University.

Six IFS transferred

Among transfer of Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers, Sudarshan Sharma, who was on APO, has been posted as deputy conservator of forest (wildlife) in Rajsamand. He has also been given additional charge of deputy conservator of forest, Rajsamand. Mukesh Saini, who was serving as deputy conservator of forest (wildlife) Rajsamand has been transferred as deputy conservator of forest, Udaipur. Alok Nath Gupta has also been transferred to Udaipur as deputy conservator of forest (DOD) from Salumbar. Vankadoth Chetan Kumar has been transferred from Jhalawar to DCF Dholpur. Pawar Sagar Popat, DCF Baran, has been transferred to DCF Jhalawar.
