Naresh Pal Gangwar, a 1994 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre has been empaneled for the post of secretary in central government. His batchmate Roli Singh, also from Rajasthan cadre, has been empaneled for secretary equivalent post in centre.
Naresh Pal Gangwar, who has been on central deputation since December 2020, is serving as additional secretary in ministry of environment, forest and climate change. Tanmay Kumar, also from Rajasthan cadre and a batch senior to Gangwar is serving as secretary in ministry of environment, forest and climate change.
Roli Singh, a 1994 batch IAS officer from Rajasthan cadre, has been on central deputation since December 2021. She is serving as additional secretary in department of health and family welfare.
Jayant Singh, a 1993 batch Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer, serving as member in Niti Ayog, has been appointed as the chairman of Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI), a government owned body, which build land ports on borders to provide secure, seamless and efficient systems for cargo and passenger movement.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Thursday cleared empanelment of IAS officers belonging to 1992, 1993 and 1994 batches of different cadres for holding Secretary or Secretary equivalent level posts in the Government of India.
Altogether 37 officers are on the list including eight review cases from 1992 and 1993 batches.
