Rajasthan government transferred 26 IAS officers in a late night reshuffle. The list does mot carry names of senior officers. The transfers have been effected for officers falling between 2018 and 2023 batches. Sources say that more list will come as discussions are on for some key posts.
Apart from that 13 IAS officers of 2024 batch, who are under training at LBSNAA, have been posted as OSD in District Election Officer of different districts. They will assist district administration in conducting elections of local bodies and panchayats.
The list however has names of six IAS officers who were kept on APO for a while. Five more officers though are still APO including Khajan Singh, who is waiting for posting since December 2025. Ambrish Kumar, who was sent on APO after the state government found that he went on foreign trip without approval, is still without any assignment. Similarly two officers – Haulianlal Guite (2011) and Avichal Chaturvedi (2012) – have been waiting posting after their return from study leave. Among junior officers, Aditi Varshney, who joined Rajasthan cadre after getting married to Alwar SDM Madhav Bhardwaj, has been posted in her husband's district as Officer on Special Duty, District Election Officer, Alwar.
Lalit Goyal, who was put on APO after being removed from UIT Secretary in May this year, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Public Works Department (PWD) while Abhishek Jain, who has joined Rajasthan cadre on marriage ground, has been given his first posting in the state as CEO District Council, Sri Ganganagar.
Jain, during his tenure in Assam-Meghalaya cadre – had earlier served earlier served as District Commissioner Hailakandi in Assam, Joint Secretary in CM Secretariat, SDO in Bijni (Assam) and Assistant Commissioner in Bongaigaon in Assam.
Another beneficiary in the list is Saksham Goyal, who has been posted as Joint Secretary PHED. He was sent on APO after being removed from the post of SDM Jaisalmer. Similarly his batchmates – Preetam Kumar and Bhaisara Shubham Ashok – have also got postings as CEO District Council Udaipur and CEO District Council Jaipur respectively.
Nitya K, who is serving as Commissioner, Ajmer Development Authority, has been transferred as Joint Secretary, Energy.
Gaurav Budania, who is serving as CEO District Council, Sawai Madhopur, has been transferred as Commissioner Nagar Nigam Ajmer.
Yasharth Shekhar and his batchmate Yaksh Choudhary were serving as SDM in Barmer district. Now both have been transferred together. While Yaksh Choudhary has been transferred as CEO District Council Alwar, Yasharth will take up the assignment of CEO District Council Jaisalmer.
Yasharth has done remarkable job in ascertaining compensation to farmers, whose land parcels were acquired for civil enclave terminal at Uttarlai Airport being operated by Indian Air Force.
Among other officers Salunkhe Gaurav Ravindra has been transferred as Secretary UIT Bhilwara. He was serving as CEO District Council Alwar. Pratibha Dahiya who has joined Rajasthan cadre from Gujarat on virtue of her marriage with Yaksh Choudhary, got her first posting in Rajasthan as CEO District Council, Karauli.
Girdhar, who is serving as CEO District Council Sri Ganganagar, has been transferred as CEO Bhiwadi Integrated Development Authority (BIDA). He has also been given additional charge of Deputy CEO, Khushkheda-Bhiwadi-Neemrana Investment Zone – Regional Development Authority, Khairthal-Tijara.
Rahul Srivastava, who is serving as SDM Hanumangarh, has been transferred as SDM Mount Abu. He has also been given additional charge of Secretary UIT, Mount Abu.
