In the much awaited transfer list of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, Rajasthan government has transferred 91 IPS officers ranging from Assistant Superintendent of Police to Inspector General (IG) level. One more list of Additional Director General (ADG) and Director General (DG) level officers is expected soon.
Surprisingly, Gaurav Srivastava (2004), who was serving as IG CM security has been removed and sent to Udaipur range. This is an interesting development. Gaurav Yadav, who was serving as Superintendent of Police Sri Ganganagar has been appointed as DIG CM security. Yadav has performed exceedingly well in curbing the drug menace in Sri Ganganagar.
Another important development is of Rahul Prakash (2006), who was serving as IG Bharatpur range – the home district of chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma – has been transferred as IG Jaipur range replacing Ajay Pal Lamba (2005), who has been sent to SCRB.
The state government has changed at least six range IGs and 34 district SPs bringing in complete makeover in the law and order.
Rajesh Meena (2002), who was serving as IG Udaipur range has been transferred to Jodhpur range replacing Vikas Kumar, who has been sent to Anti Terrorist Squad.
Rajendra Singh (2004), who was serving as Jodhpur commissioner has been sent as IG Ajmer range. Om Prakash – I (2004) has been appointed as Jodhpur commissioner.
Kailash Chandra Bishnoi, who was serving as DIG, Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has been transferred as IG Bharatpur range.
Lokesh Sonwal, who was appointed as Jhunjhunu SP two months back but was not allowed to join, has been transferred as Karauli SP while Jhunjhunu gets a new SP in Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay, who was serving as SP karauli.
Bhuvan Bhushan Yadav, who was serving as SP Sikar has been transferred to DIG, ACB Bikaner. This is a prized posting for Yadav as his wife Namrata Vrishni is serving as collector in the district.
